missingWrote a review on 06 Decspacious roomgreat breakfastexcellent locationwear issuesdated décor
I booked a family room at The Kelvin and loved the size. The double and single beds offered plenty of space. The bathroom was lovely and spotlessly clean, which always makes a difference. Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety. The staff were attentive, especially during the morning rush. Location was perfect for us, with the botanical gardens just 100 yards away. I noticed some wear in the décor, which might feel dated compared to newer chain hotels. the staff tried hard to provide good service, and the discounted parking option was a pleasant surprise.

Absolutely loved the huge king-size bed and the option for fresh air with windows that open. The en-suite was well-equipped and perfectly clean!

Clean room with a great location
I really appreciated the cleanliness of my room and the convenience of the hotel's location. The room itself was quite basic but offered me a comfortable stay with all the essentials. I found the noise from neighboring rooms disturbing during the night, which impacted my overall experience.

The location near the Botanic Gardens is fantastic, and the breakfast was very satisfying with various options. the bathroom could use some updates, and there was a bit of a funky smell in the room upon entry, but overall, a pleasant stay with helpful staff.

The double bed in Room 4 felt smaller than expected, which can be an issue if you’re on the taller side. Oddly enough, the stairs seemed endless—no lift access can be taxing after a long day out. Plus, while the breakfast room adds charm, waiting for a table can be a hassle, especially during busy times.

We had a fantastic stay and appreciated the friendly service that allowed us to check in earlier, making our arrival smoother, while being just a short walk from Glasgow Botanic Gardens made our daily strolls truly delightful.

The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable and inviting.
The lack of an en-suite toilet was quite inconvenient.

The location is fantastic, conveniently positioned near subway stations and an array of restaurants and bars. The double room was spacious, and the friendly staff offered a warm welcome. the room cleanliness was concerning, with stains on bedding and walls, and visible mould in the bathroom. thin walls meant noise from other guests could easily be heard, so earplugs are advisable for light sleepers.

I loved lounging in the large apartment, and the kind little touches like extra milk and cereal really made me feel at home. I enjoyed the peaceful garden area and the cozy sitting lounge for relaxation. The only small downside was the slightly noisy street at times, but it didn’t ruin my stay at all. Highly recommend grabbing breakfast – it’s fantastic! 😊

Perfect spot for a brief family getaway
The room was surprisingly spacious and clean. My kids loved the breakfast spread, especially the fluffy scrambled eggs.
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but still, worth it for the comfort we got.
